Afro Beats scion Femi Kuti has broken the world’s longest note held on a saxophone. According to his proud sister Yeni Kuti, Femi broke a December,
1997 world record set by legendary saxophonist Kenny G when he held an E-Flat for over 45 minutes 37 seconds.
Femi did broke set a new record of 46 minutes 38 seconds! It was reported that to accomplish this,
Kenny G used a technique called Circular Breathing, “
which keeps a steady stream of air flowing through the saxophone even as the player breathes.
